Wonderful piece!! Change is so crucial and it's definitely possible if people remain hopeful instead of resigning themselves to a 9-5 hell.

I love the bit about escaping to nature to find peace and guidance. "We can't fix our problems with the same thinking used to create them" said Einstein, so we shouldn't be thinking of market solutions to market problems! We have to get away...

..but then we have to go back to society & start somewhere! I know all too well that personal reflections in nature won't change the rest of society. Community resilience is huge for this first step!

Amsterdam is shifting to a circular economy to offset some of the environmental and social injustices we've seen from global neoliberal capitalism. I'm caught between two minds -- whether it's another fruitless effort of people simply occupying their 9-5 time, or if it can be the real-deal for meaningful change...
