Growing up is realizing that the Fed capped interest rates at 0.8% after the 2008 financial crash. And for profit-maximizing purposes, banks have only been giving ~0.05% APY on savings accounts for the past decade. So we'll never see 8%, 10%, 20% compound interest in our lives 🙃
